Abhi's Cafe, Hackbeach

I really enjoyed my stay at Abhi’s. It’s not clear that it’s also a guest house but somehow I was attacked to this place for a chai and end up staying for a few days. There are 3 rooms upstairs; I stayed in the biggest one. The room is big, very clean and tidy, good light and good ventilation; there’s a fridge and a cattle which it’s great for long term stays. Good location in a backstreet nearby the temple, close to the beach but away from the crawls. Good local vibe. The staff is amazing: very friendly and helpful which made the time in Kovolam very special.

A lovely and quiet place to hang out. Run by Mani, a guy who goes out of his way to help you. He is a brilliant cook, he can make anything you like. Western style salad or grilled prawns. He has excellent cakes daily. It's clean and the food is fantasticwhsther it's local or western style you wish. I go there for breakfast, snacks and dinner. It's clean, healthy and always yummy. One can meet people here from all over the world, so you can have interesting conversations. Also many local people come here, so you can learn about local culture and language. I stayed in one of the rooms once years ago. It was very clean and huge. As I said, Mani goes out of his way to make the place a lovely and cool meeting point with great healthy food.

The coffee latte was perfekt, just the right temperaturen and lovely foam, just as good as at home if not even better.

The Taste Feels Like Eating At Home, Though The Menu Is Quite Limited And Only BreakFast And Dinner . Located Just A 5-Minute Walk From Nearby Residency Where We Stayed [ Cocoland ] Which Was Cheap Stay , Value For Money . This Café Is A Great Alternative To The Costly Tourist Restaurants Around Kovalam.

One of the best stays in India. The owner and his wife are very very nice. The rooms are big and clean. They also make very good food at a cheap price. They make amazing chai all day long and also sell some snacks.

The owner was an absolute legend. Helped us out a heap. Stayed a couple of nights here. Tasty breakfast, awesome espresso and spacious rooms. Just off the fringe of the busy beachfront with easy alleyway access to the beach from the cafe itself.

Had a great stay in the hotel. Mani the host was so helpful and kind. The rooms are spacious and clean. There’s a small cafe which serves best breakfast and dinner. Hotel is around 400m away from beach and has quite surroundings.

A wonderful cafe nestled away from the crowd and yet a very safe hop, skip and jump from the beach. The owner and staff are such warm and lovely people. The food was sumptuous and hearty. Can't recommend them enough! A morning chai is a must, followed by a glass of fresh juice and breakfast after a swim/surf session pretty much sets you up for a blissful day.
